Are Millennials Choosing Entrepreneurship or a Job?

Millennials are looking for independent work that will help them find personal fulfillment over a job that has financial incentives.

Financial success is not a millennials sole motivation, finding their individual passion is.

In a recent survey, millennials chose independent work and entrepreneurship over traditional 9-5 employment, with 40% saying they plan on leaving their current job within five years to become a freelancer.

Some interesting facts are that millennials use a lot more technology to grow their business, with things like using a lot of social media for their marketing and platforms like YouTube to answer customer questions.

Money isn’t everything to them.  They think it’s fun starting their own business and find it more fulfilling.

They are much more focused on work, which they are passionate about

They want a quality life in where they can choose how and when they work.

Millennials entrepreneurs aren’t also tied down to a traditional office space, some now working from home, some using public spaces like coffee shops and others using co-working spaces.  Some choose no desk at all and work poolside.
