Harley Davidson is Moving to Europe – Trump Trying to Stop It

Chris Cox founder of Bikers for Trump, likes that the President supports Harley-Davidson owners who are boycotting the company for plans to move production overseas on concerns that Harley Davidson is moving to Europe.

Harley-Davidson has been talking for a long time to move things overseas, all this happened before the current global trade dispute.

Cox said, “They’ve been planning this move for many years now, and its common knowledge in the biker field. We couldn’t be more disappointed.”

Europeans have retaliated over the newly imposed tariffs. Amidst plans to move production, European Unions have imposed a tariff on imported U.S. bikes.

This was in retaliation to the tariffs that have been imposed on European steel and aluminum in June. Harley-Davidson forecasted that this new tariff would cost the company $100 million a year. Still, does this justify that Harley Davidson is moving to Europe?

Trump wants Harley owners to boycott the company for investing in facilities in Europe.

Trump wrote on Twitter on Sunday, “Many @harleydavidson owners plan to boycott the company if manufacturing moves overseas. Great! Most other companies are coming in our direction, including Harley competitors. A really bad move! The U.S. will soon have a level playing field, or better.”

Bikers see Trump’s tariffs as a way to provide an equal clean slate after years of trade abuses. Still, concerns grow that Harley Davidson is Moving to Europe.

Someone new needs to take over Harley-Davidson, someone that can re-identify with the brand and return to the core of the American motorcycle.

Let us keep Harley-Davidson American!
